At this Montalcino restaurant, I ate “the BEST PASTA DISH EVER (!)” (direct quote from my travel journal - capital letters, exclamation mark and all). It was pinci all’ aglione: cherry tomatoes, garlic and basil. No it doesn’t sound like much but I think the best pasta dishes I’ve had in Italy have been the simple ones where the natural ingredients really stood out.I really must have enjoyed this pasta because I remember we went back for a second dinner at this restaurant and I ordered exactly the same dish. I was sad to leave!
