UNESCO World Heritage Site | The City of Motovun is located in central Istria of Croatia, on the hillside, looking over the Mirna River Valley. It was developed on the Prehistoric citadel site. During the middle Ages it changed various feudal masters and kept its city autonomy. In the period between 1278-1797, it was continuously under the Venetian rule.
